Monday’s Prayer: Restore the Roar.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body. Hebrews 10:19-20
Lord Jesus, such a confidence I have. I get to come into your presence at any time. I get to draw near to you about anything. You have made it possible so that I can draw near to the Father. And yet, dear Jesus, I am often so timid and afraid in my life. I am often so timid and cautious in my prayer life. I am often so timid and “meh” in my daily living. O Lord Jesus, where is this confidence that you’ve given me!?! Where is this boldness that I have because of you!?! O Lord Jesus, I should be roaring like a lion through life because I have this confidence. You’ve forgiven my sins. You’ve called me your child. You’ve welcomed me into the Father’s presence. You’ve promised that you are for me and not against you. You’re assured me again and again that you will be with me. O Lord Jesus, restore my roar. Fill my heart with overflowing confidence, boldness and courage because of all that you’ve done for me. Fill my heart with the roar of Jacob as I come to you in prayer, “I won’t let go until you bless me.” Fill my heart with the roar of Paul as I do work for you today, “I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is God’s power for salvation.” Fil my life with roar of your approval, “You are my child and I am pleased with you.” God restore my roar and my confidence as I live for you. Amen.
