Monday’s Prayer: We See Jesus.
But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9 NIV
Lord Jesus, I see you! I see what you did there. You saw that we, the human race, couldn’t be and do what we were created to be and do. You saw that we would have to die. But I see what you did there. You took our place. You were made a little less than the angels for a while. You were born of the virgin Mary. You suffered. You died. You were buried. You were made a little less than the angels and you tasted death for every one, even for me. I see what you did there. You because what you were not and suffered what you should not have suffered for me. You became what you were not to make me what I was not. You suffered what you should not have suffered so that I would not suffer what I should have suffered. O Lord, Jesus, I see what you did there. You are now crowned with glory and honor because of what you’ve done for me and for all the world. You are truly great, truly gracious, truly glorious. O Lord, our Lord, how glorious is your name in all the earth. Amen.
