Points to Ponder:
1.As you read the whole chapter as a unit today, highlight some of the very important verses in this section.
2.Why did you pick those verses? Why are they verses you want to give greater attention to?
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. John 3:5-6
Father in heaven, I continue to marvel at your grace and mercy to me. I deserved none of it. It’s all grace. In fact, it’s a conveyor belt of grace in place of grace already given. You gave me birth into your family by the Holy Spirit from heaven. You poured him out on my through water and the Word and adopted me into your family. More than that, you give me your Spirit to give me understanding so that I can grasp and even believe things from heaven. Your Word is not a mystery to me. Though there are portions that are difficult for me to understand, I understand and believe the message of the Bible. More than that God, I marvel at the way you love me. You gave up your only Son to death! He sacrificed him for me and for the whole world. You did that even though we were people who had done no good thing for you. Through him you give life to me and to all who believe in you. O Lord God, dear Father in heaven! These are just some of the ways in which you dole out grace to me abundantly. Thank you! That’s all I can say. Help me to live in a way that brings you glory and honor in all that I do. Help me to live in a way that makes you great in the eyes of the world. Amen.
