Every Drop of Jesus Day 2

Jn1.14-2.jpeg

Read John 1:6-18

Points to Ponder:

  1. Who is John (1:6-8)? Why did he come?

  2. Why is surprising that Jesus was not receivedby his own people?  Why is it surprising that you have receivedhim? How exactly did we become children of God?

  3. John (the writer) goes a little bit further on in his description of the Word.  What is he like?  In his coming, what did he do?

  4. John also says that Jesus makes the Father known. What do know about God because we know who Jesus is?  What is our God like?

John 1:18 - 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, you are the God no one has ever seen. When I see your walk this earth on the pages of Scripture, I get to know God.  You have come to make God known to me. You show me that my Father is a God of compassion and mercy.  You show me that my Father is a God of truth and justice.  You show me that my Father loves me more than I can even begin to imagine. He gave you up for me and for the whole world save me.  Lord Jesus, you are the God no one has ever seen. Thank you for making God known to me. Amen.
