Day 37 - John 6:1-71
Points to Ponder:
1. As you read the whole chapter as a unit today, highlight some of the very important verses in this section.
2. Why did you pick those verses? Why are they verses you want to give greater attention to?
Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” – John 6:68-69.
Lord Jesus, I don’t always understand everything. Sometimes I am very much confused about my life and what you are doing in it. I don’t always get it, but I understand and, more importantly, I believe this. That you are the only place for me to run. You are the only one to whom I can go to have all my needs met in the best way possible. Most importantly, from you I receive eternal life. I believe this and I know that you are God’s Son, my Savior. I confess that I don’t always come to you as a first resort. I confess that I seek to be satisfied by other things and in other ways. Forgive me for this, dear Jesus, and satisfy me this morning with your unfailing love. Satisfy me this morning with your salvation. Make me glad and content just to be with you today. You are always with me and you will never leave. Amen.
