Day 45 - John 8:12-20
Points to Ponder:
1.To what parts of our life does Jesus give light to?
2.How does Jesus help us see ourselves better?
3.How does Jesus help us see what is going in our life better?
4.How does Jesus help us see who God is better?
5.Why could the Pharisees not see this?
Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
Lord Jesus, you are the light of the world and you help me see life better. You help me see my heart as it really is. It is a dark hole of sin, full of deadly cancer through and through. Without you, there would only be darkness in my heart. Lord Jesus, thank you for scattering the darkness of my heart. You help me see God as he really is. He is the God of grace and mercy, compassion and truth. He is my dear Father who loves me deeply and dearly. You help me see life as it really is. My life is truly and always under your care and concern, under your might and rule. You help me see things as they really are. If I judge things by human standards, I will always miss the mark. But when I see things according to you and your Word, then I see things better. Help me to see things more and more clearly day by day that I might walk in the light of your presence. Amen.
