Day 58 - John 10:14-21
Points to Ponder:
1.What desire does Jesus have as the good Shepherd?
2.How does this compel you as one of his sheep?
3.What authority or right does Jesus have?
4.How does this all comfort you?
But I have other sheep that are not from this sheep pen; I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. Then there will be one flock, one shepherd. John 10:16
Lord Jesus, you are never satisfied with what you already have. You are thankful for the sheep already gathered. Yet, at the same time, you are dissatisfied that there are other sheep that still need to be gathered. And you are determined that they will be gathered into one flock with one shepherd. Grant me the same zeal and energy to join you in this work. As your sheep you have invited me to share in this mission of gathering more sheep into this flock. Continue to shape my heart and direct my steps to gather more and more. I am so thankful for the faith I have. I am so thankful for the people who believe with me in you. Yet, Lord Jesus, I am not satisfied. There are too many more people who need to be gathered. Yes, even one not gathered is too many not gathered. Set my heart on fire and direct me to do what I can with the time you give me to gather more sheep into your flock. Amen.
