Our Mission

We are the neighborhood church and school of the Hampton Heights Neighborhood. We are transforming lives, families and the community with the forgiveness & love of Christ!

Our Team

God has blessed us at the Mount with ministry team that loves Jesus and wants to share him with you.  Get to know them below: Pastor Aaron Bublitz, Pastor Nate Bourman, and Staff Minister Michael Schuessler.

Pastor Aaron Bublitz

My family and I have been blessed to call the Hampton Heights neighborhood of Milwaukee our home for the past seven years. Our home is right by the church, so if you pass by and see a guy outside the picking up garbage, playing with a golden doodle, or playing with kids – please honk, wave, or stop and say hello!

It is my joy and passion to share God’s Word in any setting God allows me – in sermons, in Bible classes, in counseling, in living rooms, or on the street. I love to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that sets us free from our guilt and shame and sets us free to serve each other in love.

I am privileged to serve as the pastor of our school (themountmke.org/themounthome).  I have the opportunity to share God’s Word with our students and their families on a daily basis, support our faculty and staff, and keep our alumni connected to our church and school.

I graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2011 with a Master’s of Divinity degree. Soon after I began to serve the Christians here at Mt Lebanon and this community.

I’ve been blessed to be married to my bride, Laura, for 20 years, and we have been blessed with three children, ages 8, 12, and 14.  My family and I look forward to meeting you, worshiping you, and serving you soon!

Pastor Nate Bourman

There are a lot of things that I could and will tell you about myself, but I’m not sure they help you know who I really am.

I could tell you that I've been a pastor at the Mount since April of 2018.  I could tell that I really enjoy working out.  I could tell you that I've been married to my sweetheart, Ruth, since 2002 and that God has blessed us with five children.

I could tell you that as a pastor some of my favorite moments happen at coffee shops over a cup of coffee, God’s Word and prayer.  I could tell you about some of my favorite things about being a pastor, but that’s not who I really I am.

If you want to know who I really am, you have to listen to my Grandpa Monthie.  He wrote a poem about me when I was born.  It goes something like this: What’s he gonna be? A preacher, a teacher, a farmer just like me?  What’s he gonna be? We’ll have to wait and see.  What’s he gonna be?  I’ll tell you, a Christian, just like you and me.

That’s who I am. I am a child of God, adopted by my baptism, cleansed in his blood.   That’s who I really am.

And what do I want?  I want to share Jesus with you.  I'll bend over backwards and do whatever it takes so that I can share Jesus wherever you're at in life.  He is the world's Savior - mine and yours.  And I want you to know it, believe it, and then live it.  I want this truth to change and transform you.

That's my prayer for you, for this church, for this community.

Staff Minister Michael Schuessler

For most of his career, “Minister Mike” worked in business and industry so he can relate to people in all walks of life.  In 2012 he was called as Staff Minister of Outreach at Mt. Lebanon.  What he enjoys more than anything else is the opportunity to visit with people, listen to their story and share God’s love for them in Jesus Christ.

As Staff Minister, Mike shares devotions with our Food Pantry guests, leads the Monday Night Support Group, teaches Bible Information classes for prospective members, leads our Men’s Ministry Team, visits shut-ins and does just about anything else that would help people learn more about God’s plan of salvation.

Mike has been married to Kathryn for 47 years.  He has three married children and nine grandchildren.  In his spare time he likes to read, play golf, and spend time with his family.
