The Light has Come

The Light has Come - #5 - God in the Spotlight

Whatever you magnify is bigger.  That’s true of things we put under a microscope.  That’s true of things we look at through a telescope.  That’s even true of the things in our life that we focus on and magnify.  Today, as we wrap up our series on John 1 we want to magnify our God.  The things that we face are small and he is big; he is gracious. We want to see God and magnify him as he really is; and Jesus reveals him to us. This is a sermon by Pastor Nate Bourman from Mount Lebanon on John 1:18.

The Light has Come - #4 - Under the Shadow of his Wings

We live and move and breathe under the shadow of his wings. We lived this past year under the shadow of his forgiveness, of his perfection, and his guiding hand. Tonight, we leave this past year under the cover of his blood and move into the coming year under the cover of his righteousness and under the shield of his protection. We live, move and rest under the shadow of his wings.

You’re listening to a sermon by Pastor Nate Bourman from Mount Lebanon on John 1:14-17.

The Light has Come - #3 - Received and Rejected

Christ came into the world he created, but it rejected him.  Jesus came to his own people, but they did not receive him.  It isn't just confusing, it is heartbreaking.  But to us who receive him, he has given us the right to be children of God.  We are the reason for the season; he came to make us children of God. This is a sermon by Pastor Paul Krueger from Mount Lebanon on John 1:10-13.

The Light has Come - #1 - In the Beginning

The story of this world begins with these three words: “in the beginning.”  In the beginning God created light and brought light into this dark world.  But sin brought darkness and death to this world and our lives.  But here we are at the beginning of Jesus’ story.  He brings light and life to this world and to our lives. This is a sermon by Pastor Paul Krueger from Mount Lebanon on John 1:1-4.
